The Ectoplasmator is one of the most underrated utility items in the game. Obtained from Soul Wars for only 250 Zeal Tokens, it functions similarly to a Bonecrusher or Ash Sanctifier. Whenever you kill spectral creatures, you restore Prayer points equal to 20% of the monster’s Hitpoints.

What makes this item especially powerful now is its interaction with Sulphur Naguas, one of the best melee training monsters in modern OSRS. Players grinding combat stats there can gain massive amounts of passive Prayer experience over time.

Training Attack, Strength, and Defence into the high levels at Sulphur Naguas can net hundreds of thousands of free Prayer XP, potentially saving millions of GP in bones.

Yak-hide Legs

Yak-hide legs are bizarrely strong for their level requirements. Despite needing only 20 Defence, they actually provide better Ranged accuracy than green d’hide chaps.

As a result, they still offer excellent defensive bonuses while also providing a +2 Strength bonus, something very uncommon for ranged gloves. Since they cost nearly the same as regular black d’hide vambraces, there is almost no reason not to use them.

Amulet of Strength

The humble Amulet of Strength remains one of the most efficient melee items in the game.

Despite costing only a few thousand GP, it gives the same Strength bonus as the incredibly expensive Amulet of Torture. Against low-defence enemies like Sand Crabs or Sulphur Naguas, the DPS difference between the two can be nearly nonexistent.

Bone Dagger

Most players think defence-reducing special attacks are only relevant once they reach expensive endgame weapons like the Dragon Warhammer or Bandos Godsword.
