The Abomination Harvest Boss Rush: How One Player Farmed 22-24 Divines per Hour in Path of Exile
In today's breakdown, we're looking at an Abomination Harvest Boss Rush strategy that reliably generated around 22-24 divines per hour, with spikes even higher depending on map luck and the occasional jackpot sale. This approach is fast, consistent, relatively low-investment, and ideal for players who want to turn their time into real profit without complicated tech or expensive scarab stacks.
Let's dive in.
Why the Abomination Map?
The backbone of this strategy is the Abomination map, and it's used for one very important reason: it's weighted toward dropping Reality (Maven) fragments, one of the most lucrative Uber boss fragments in the game.
Even better:
Abomination has a straightforward layout.
Harvest spawns are typically easy to locate.
Boss access is fast, making it perfect for a boss-rush loop.
It also drops Synth and Blazing fragments as secondary sources of value.
In short, Abomination combines high-value boss fragments with quick map flow-ideal for fast repetitions and consistent profit.
The Core Loop: Boss First, Harvest Second
The strategy revolves around one rule:
Kill the boss immediately → Rush to the Harvest → Leave the map.
You are not full-clearing.
You are not looting everything.
You are not interacting with mechanics that slow you down.
You are simply:
1.Entering the map
2.Killing the boss
3.Collecting the fragment
4.Finding Harvest
5.Clicking the right colors
6.Leaving instantly
If you stick to this loop, your maps take around 2 minutes each-and that's where the currency per hour skyrockets.
Currency Breakdown: Where the Divines Actually Come From
Across roughly 4.7 hours of mapping, the strategy produced:
Uber Boss Fragments - 60 Divines
The overwhelming majority came from Reality fragments (Maven) at 41 divines.
Then:
Blazing fragments (Sirus)
Synth fragments
These drop consistently thanks to Abomination's weighted table.
Life Force - ~35 Divines
Life force is a massive contributor:
Vivid (Yellow): ~23 divines
Primal (Blue): ~7 divines
Wild (Purple): ~5 divines
Yellow is by far the most valuable, currently trading around 1 divine per ~4000 life force, and that's why the Atlas tree intentionally reduces purple and blue spawn rates.
Random Sales & Drops - 20 Divines
This portion varies wildly and shouldn't be expected every session. In this example:
A corrupted item sold for 10 divines
Three raw divine drops occurred
Several smaller items contributed the rest
If you remove these lucky outcomes, the strategy stabilizes at around 22 divines per hour, which is still extremely high.
Low Cost, High Reward: The Scarab Setup
This strategy is so profitable partly because the scarab investment is extremely low.
The recommended setup:
Harvest Scarab of Doubling
Harvest Scarab of Hordes
Monstrous Lineage Scarab
Another cheap scarab (e.g., Sacrifice Fragment)
Notably missing:
Awakening or Cornucopia Scarabs.
Why?
Because they slow down the strategy.
While Awakening Scarabs increase life force drops with T4 seeds, the additional time spent interacting with Harvest dramatically reduces your fragment-per-hour rate, which is the real profit source. This strategy prioritizes volume and speed-not maximum yield per map.
Map Rolling: Simple, Cheap, and Fast
You only need to roll your maps to 100% quantity.
That's it.
No complex sextants, no fancy scarab stacking, no ultra-juicing.
Most players use a personal regex filter inside Awakened Trade to instantly identify maps with ≥100 quantity after chiseling.
This keeps investment low, prevents bricking maps, and ensures the run stays consistent.
How Much Life Force Drops per Map?
A typical map can generate:
2k-3k Yellow
1k-2k Blue
1k+ Purple, depending on nodes clicked
This fluctuates, but over time it averages very cleanly-because the altar setup heavily boosts quantity and pack size.
The example map shown generated:
3k Yellow
3k Blue
1.4k Purple
Another 1.8k Yellow
That's half a divine in life force alone, before even counting the boss fragment.
You can see how the profit stacks very quickly.Click Priority: Which Seeds to Select
Your Harvest decisions matter a lot. Here's the simple priority list:
1. Yellow (Vivid)
Most expensive → Always click this first.
2. Blue (Primal)
Mid-value → Choose this when Yellow isn't available.
3. Purple (Wild)
Low value → Only pick if there are significant stack advantages.
Tiers:
Always pick Tier 3 seeds over Tier 2.
Avoid Tier 4 unless the plot is stacked. They take too long for too little return.
This clicking discipline ensures consistent life force per map with minimal time wasted.
Selecting Altars: Red Over Blue
Since you're not full-clearing the map, Searing Exarch (red) altars outperform Eater of Worlds (blue) altars.
Why?
Because:
Red altars frequently give global quantity, which dramatically increases life force gained.
Pack size from red altars also applies globally.
Downsides (fire res / chaos res) are manageable for most builds.
In this specific strategy:
The build easily ignores the red altar downsides.
Red altars generate significantly more meaningful profit per map.
This choice alone adds several divines per hour over a long session.
Atlas Passive Tree: The Keys to Profit
The Atlas tree plays a huge role in maximizing gains. Here's what matters most:
1. Harvest Clusters
Take all harvest nodes.
Especially the ones that:
Increase yellow spawns
Reduce purple and blue spawns
Boost T3 seed frequency
This is where the majority of your life force income comes from.
2. Map Explicit Modifiers
Scaling explicit effect makes:
Pack size higher
Quantity higher
Harvest output higher
This is the core juice of the setup.
3. Singular Focus
This is crucial.
Singular Focus ensures that dropped T16.5 maps only convert into the target map-usually Dunes in this setup because they sell instantly in bulk.
4. Red Alter Nodes
More Exarch influence = more red altars = more quantity = more life force.
5. Basic Scarab Nodes
A few small nodes increase overall scarab drops and fill in extra profit, especially when you spam maps at high volume.
Running the Maps: What a Typical Run Looks Like
A standard run goes like this:
1.Enter map
2.Rush boss
3.Kill boss in seconds
4.Grab fragment
5.Sprint immediately to Harvest
6.Click the correct seed choice (Yellow → Blue → Purple)
7.Leave instantly
8.Load next map
Most runs take around 90-120 seconds.
Because the build used was excellent at boss bursting, the fragment drop was nearly instantaneous, allowing dozens of maps per hour.
The Actual Profit: 4.7 Hours of Pure Currency
Across the recorded session:
128 divines total
108 divines excluding lucky drops
4.7 hours total runtime
Resulting in:
~22-24 divines per hour
Primarily from Maven fragments and Vivid life force
This puts the Abomination Harvest Boss Rush in the top tier of league farming strategies-rivaling Breach, Beyond, Uber Invitations, and Delirium without requiring heavy investment or complicated mechanics.
The Bottom Line: Boss Rushing Is Back
Between the inflated price of Progenesis (130 divines), high demand for Uber carries, and the consistently profitable state of Harvest, boss rushing is one of the strongest mapping strategies of the league.
Abomination maps, in particular, shine thanks to:
Guaranteed fast boss access
Weighted Reality fragments
Reliable Harvest placement
Low cost, high speed, more Path of exile currency, low complexity
Massive scaling with quantity and red altars
