The Casual Paladin’s Path: Pushing Pit 125+ with Roxy’s Build

Jan-05-2026 PST Category: Diablo4

If you're a casual Diablo 4 player looking for a powerful and forgiving build to tackle high-level Nightmare Dungeons, you've come to the right place. After testing numerous builds from players like Maxroll, Rob, and Mekuna, I've found a build that consistently performs exceptionally well without requiring top-tier gear or extraordinary skill: Roxy's Paladin Nightmare Dungeon pushing build. This fantastic build is entirely thanks to Roxy, and with the right strategy, you won't need to buy Diablo 4 Gold to afford prohibitively expensive gear to make it work. My goal here is to explain how this build works in simple terms, helping you easily clear level 125 or higher Nightmare Dungeons.

How the Build Works (The Simple Version)

Think of this build as planting dynamite and then lighting the fuse.

· Spear of the Heavens is your dynamite. You spam it in one spot to create stacks of "Judgement."

· Blessed Hammer is the lit match. It causes all that stacked Judgement to explode for massive area damage.

· The logic is simple: More spears in one spot + More monsters caught in the blast = Bigger, better explosions. Your main goal is to group enemies, pile up spears, and ignite the chain reaction.

Step 1: Skill Rotation & Gameplay

This is a "press all the buttons" build, but there’s a key sequence to follow.

The Opener & Core Loop:

1. Arbiter of Justice: Activate this first. Your #1 priority is never letting this buff fall off. You’ll maintain it through cooldown reduction, duration increases, and recasting.

2. Group Enemies: Use Condemn to pull monsters toward you.

3. Weaken Them: Cast Fanaticism Aura to reduce their damage.

4. The Spam: Now, unleash Spear of the Heavens and Blessed Hammer relentlessly.

Pro Tips:

· Consecration: This is the only skill you might briefly hold. Use it when you have a large group gathered, as it increases your damage and weakens enemies. But don’t overthink it—when in doubt, spam.

· Positioning is Survival: At high Pit levels, many effects can one-shot you. Watch your health bar. If it starts dropping fast, don’t be a hero. Disengage, let enemies chase you, and restart your rotation in a safer spot. A tactical retreat is always faster than a death runback.

· The Belial Rule: DO NOT SUMMON BELIAL. Your objective is to avoid all of Belial’s Eyes. Sometimes the layout forces you to activate one or two, but never intentionally interact with them. This build excels against bosses with minions (more fuel for your explosions). Belial is tougher, has fewer adds, and will slow you down.

Step 2: Gear & Stats - The Casual Player’s Setup

My gear is solid but far from perfect—missing ideal sanctifications and with plenty of room for improvement. This proves you don’t need BiS gear to succeed. (Check the planner link below for my exact setup).

Season 11 (Abundance) Note: The new standard is having 2-3 Greater Affix (GA) items. Use tempering and masterworking to target them.

The Two Non-Negotiables:

These are found on your Boots and are critical for the build to function.

1. "Attacks Reduce Evade's Cooldown by 1.5 Seconds": This enables a key Paragon node called Relentless, which grants a massive +80% increased damage and 30% cooldown reduction as long as you move every 2 seconds. This stat ensures Relentless is always active.

2. Temper for "Increased Arbiter of Justice Duration": Use as many Scrolls of Restoration as needed to get this temper, ideally as a Greater Affix. This is essential for maintaining your core buff.

Other Key Gear:

· Mythics: Shroud of False Death and Heir of Perdition.

· Uniques: Seal of the Second Trumpet (from Grigoire) and Griswold’s Opus (from Andariel).

· Runes: Ahu Qax for damage, and Yul Thul for crowd control and survivability.

· Gems: Prioritize Diamonds in your Rings and Amulet for the resistances. Staying alive is your top concern.

· Mercenaries: Use Raheir for emergency survival and Varyana to boost your attack speed.

Step 3: Paragon & Final Touches

· The Imbiber Glyph: This glyph provides significant extra damage when you’re low on health potions. However, it also makes you more vulnerable. My advice: try not to dip below 4 health potions during a run to avoid getting caught in a dangerous spot.

Final Thoughts

This build is powerful, forgiving for casual play, and truly embodies the "button-spammer" spirit. You can get it up and running effectively without needing to hunt for cheap Diablo 4 Items on third-party sites; I recommend getting your gear legitimately through MMOEXP for a safe and rewarding experience. A huge thanks again to Roxy for the original guide.
